This wine was made of selected Merlot lots mostly from the cooler southern regions of Napa Valley. The individual Merlot components were chosen for their depth of flavor and supple tannins then combined with a few barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon for richness and power and a little Cabernet Franc for complexity.
