Our Sauvignon Blanc is crafted to express the grape's subtler side, to achieve this with a varietal that naturally tends toward an overt grassiness or vegetative aspect, strict attention to detail is required. In the vineyard discing the soil, pruning and canopy management control vigor. We add texture to the palate by blending Sauvignon Musqué and aging a small percentage in fine grained French oak. The nose has an intensely perfumed fresh bouquet of pink grapefruit and watermelon combines with energetic spice notes underlined by invigorating minerality. Emulating the nose, the palate of crisp citrus and melon flavor carries a hint of dry white herb accompanied by a soft, round mouth feel resulting in a medium bodied, fresh, food-friendly wine.
"A fine, bone-dry and minerally Sauvignon Blanc to enjoy with shellfish, grilled chicken or on it's own as an appetizer. A touch of oak adds richness to vibrant, acidic citrus fruit, lemongrass and green apple flavors. Editors Choice."
