The 2003 vintage delivered something not always found in ripe Napa Valley Chardonnay: pleasingly firm acid. The brightness of the wine suggests that a little more time will reward the patient wine lover, while those with less patience will do best to enjoy this feisty youngster at the table.
Aroma: Toasty, caramel apple aromas.
Taste: Swirling the glass brings out a vanilla custard which plays against the hazelnut and pineapple in the mouth. Zesty lemon flavors balance all the rich aromas.
