Winemaker's Notes

This Carmenere presents a complex, profound nose with spicy flourishes of cinnamon, clove, cocoa and red fruits. It is a vibrant, fresh wine with a long finish and tannins that come together to produce a smooth, beautiful, harmonious flavor.

Critical Acclaim

"Deep red. Understated, Bordeaux-like aromas of red- and blackcurrant, tobacco and pungent spices. A silky midweight that offers juicy red fruit flavors and subtle floral and black pepper qualities, plus a smoky note on the back end. Finishes with very good length and slow-mounting, supple tannins that add grip."

But in the early nineties, thanks to DNA...
