This Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a classic, cool climate Pinot Noir, with forest floor and bright cherry aromatics. On the palate, intense flavors of strawberry and cherry are framed by silky tannins. This delicate, Burgundian-style Pinot Noir offers excellent structure and complexity. The wine has a long, intricate finish, and will only develop more nuances over time.
Comparing the 2009 with the 2008 MacMurray is another helpful exercise in wine tasting. Both are excellent, but lack the character of the 2007 reserve. I really have grown to love this vineyard.
