From the Sonoma Coast wine region, this Pinot Noir has elegant varietal fruit character expressing rich aromas and flavors of red fruits and fresh, earthy notes. Restrained when young, it will evolve into a smooth, complex wine with time in the bottle.
"Medium-deep ruby color; deep, dark cherry, spice and forest floor aromas; rich, deep, complex dark cherry with great spice and forest floor notes; nice touch of sweet oak; good structure and balance; long finish. Balanced and full of flavor, this Pinot drinks well now but has plenty of life ahead."
This is one of the brighter reds I've had recently, and the fruits are very red and tart with some mellow spiciness. Seems fairly medium-bodied, and it's very easy to drink. The finish seems a bit rough but its a pleasant enough woody end. I'd give this a 87, and is a nice red if your looking for something less brooding. Went exceedingly well with cranberry pork, I expect this would excel at thanksgiving.
