A lovely, delicate clear light yellow hue introduces this generous wine. On the nose, aromas of apple pie blend with lemon meringue, fresh pear and orange blossom, lightly scented with just a touch of toast, brioche and hazelnut. Aromas carry through into a richly layered palate that offers beautiful fruit intensity, a good structure and a firm acidic grip. A wet stone minerality is evident on the dry finish, which lingers nicely in the mouth. This wine is drinking very well upon release, but will also stand up to another two to three years of bottle aging in cellar (through 2012).
