Winemaker Notes
Le Chambertin is a rectangular vineyard of 32 acres in the center of Gevrey's grand cru slope south of Clos-de- Bèze. The 5,250 cases it yields in an average year are among Burgundy's most sought-after. Maison Louis Jadot vinifies the production of proprietors in Le Chambertin with whom it holds long-term purchase agreements to evoke the firm, velvety full body, seductive perfume and luxuriant, brocaded texture of this great wine, which allies power and delicacy in perfect balance.
