Winemaker's Notes

This is a feminine wine, elegant and delicate with fine tannins and fruity, spicy aromas and flavors. It has a great aging potential.

Pairs perfectly with filet mignon, game and strong cheeses such as Reblochon.

Critical Acclaim

"Good bright red. Pungent smoky minerality, crushed stone and flowers on the aromatic nose. Offers very good depth and complexity, but currently shows a medicinal austerity to its cranberry and dried flower flavors. Finishes suave, energetic and long, with sweet tannins. 90-92 points "

"Moderate wood frames a very pretty nose of high-toned raspberry, cherry and subtle menthol nuances. There is plenty of the characteristic minerality to the refined and attractively vibrant medium weight flavors that possess a distinctly saline character on the clean and mildly austere finish. The tannins are firm but quite fine-grained and this should age well as the balance is impeccable.
Barrel Sample: 90-92 Points"
