Light & Fruity

Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.

Smooth & Supple

Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Earthy & Spicy

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Big & Bold

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.

Winemaker's Notes

An attractive wine with deep cherry color, a delicious bouquet of ripe red fruit and spices and a full-bodied palate with hints of chocolate supported by a good tannic structure.

Critical Acclaim

"No 2006 was made of this cuvee but the 2007 Aljibes Tinto is made up of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 25% Cabernet Franc with the same elevage as the 2005. It exhibits a similar aromatic and flavor profile to its older sibling but appears to be a bit fresher due to its relative youth. It is also an outstanding value for drinking from 2012 to 2022."
