Dry grown. High heat days in early February meant these grapes were picked at lower baume maintaining good acid balance and structure. Hand picked, open fermented, basket pressed.
This blending of both our Creek Flat and Front Block parcels has created a complex and unique Shiraz expressive of our terroir and the season.
The current owners are an Australian guy named Rick Loan and an American girl from the very distinguished state of Maryland. The Loans are driven to protect and express the individuality of their vineyard and have cultivated the only certified organic vineyard in the Barossa. They have teamed up with Chris Ringland to make the wines: a Semillon and a Shiraz. This is a project to watch in the future.
