Light & Fruity

Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.

Smooth & Supple

Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Earthy & Spicy

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Big & Bold

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.

Winemaker's Notes

The relatively cool 2006 harvest enhanced the inherent Rhone character of our Hudson Vineyards Syrah from these famously farmed vines in Napa Carneros. Finely woven and complex this 100% Syrah from a single small block serves up a potpourri of red/black fruits, white pepper, herbes de Provence, and allspice. Black raspberry fruit flavors are framed in toasty oak and brought to fine focus.

Critical Acclaim

"Offers a savory mix of spice, fresh earth, dried currant, berry and light cedary oak, delivered in a full-bodied yet elegant style. Ends with supple tannins. Drink now through 2013. 175 cases made."
