Winemaker's Notes

Intense Dark color saturated to the rim. Initial aromas of vanilla, spice, and tobacco evolve in the glass to sweet cassis, currants and dark fruits. Seamless tannins carry the wonderful viscous finish across the palate.

Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon 77%, Merlot 13%, Carmenere 4%, Syrah 3% Petit Verdot 2%, Cabernet Franc 1%.

Critical Acclaim

"Firm, with a tight core of cedary currant and dark plum flavors, picking up hints of earthy sage and dusky spice notes on the chewy finish. Needs time, but should develop well. Best after 2006. "
92 Points

"Good bright medium ruby. Very dark, primary aromas of cassis, violet and bitter chocolate. Juicy and tightly wound, with sweet but firm flavors of black cherry and licorice. Dry-edged, classic, very young cabernet for the cellar. Finishes with tongue-clenching tannins and very good length. This really calls for six to eight years of bottle aging.
