Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Beautiful pink and red tones and a floral nose full of cherry fruit and hints of aniseed and brown sugar. The wine is rich, fresh and balanced. The delightful and distinctive character of La Vielle Ferme Rose is the judicious blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah grapes.

To accompany most foods or to be enjoyed on its own, this is a delicious wine for easy drinking.

For a cost effective rose, this one is by far our favorite. We enjoy our rose on the dry side. The alcohol content is a little higher than some roses but it is not overwhelming. If you're throwing a party or get-together, or hoping to drink rose on a regular basis without breaking the bank, this is a fantastic buy. It's mild flavor pairs well with a variety of foods.
