Rich with pretty aromatic aromas of nutmeg, clove and spice, this dark and brooding Merlot shows black cherry, blackberry, and earthy dark fruit flavors encased in a peppery, cocoa, toasty finish.
"L'Ecole's merlot-sourced from several vineyards, including Weinbau, Seven Hills, Klipsun and Pepper Bridge-has a fine leafy scent and deep plum notes, all framed by oak. It's young, so the wine's lean power has an angularity that should relax with time, or sue its tension against roast lamb"

"This is a beautiful wine from the nose on out. Complex and aromatic, it has Italian-style tobacco scents, fresh acidity, leafy highlights, and undertones of tar, licorice and clove, all wrapped around tart pie cherry fruit."
very disappointed...."tart red cherry" does not begin to express how tart this wine was....maybe several years from now this will smooth out.
