Karl Lawrence Gary Morisoli Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley, California
Gary Morisoli Reserve practically jumps out of the glass with audacity and splendor. The aromas come flowing forward with rich intensity and marvelous depth. Abundant scents of black cherry, currants, and chocolate come through with hints of coffee and black licorice. While these robust aromatics might suggest a bruiser of a Cabernet to follow, this wine enters the palate with complexity, richness, and grace. A lot of the same gorgeous fruit aromas are mirrored in taste along with complements of mocha and an earthy savor commonly referred to as the "Rutherford dust." This wine captures the true caliber of a Napa Valley Cabernet and will age as fine as the soil it grew out of.
