Winemaker's Notes

This wines dark, ruby robe is a lovely precursor to the forward, almost hedonistic bright aromas and flavors that follow in the glass. Jammy fruit aromas of sweet cherry compote are accentuated by the bittersweet chocolate scents in the nose. In the mouth, the flavors are equally as easily appreciated. Enticing flavors of chocolate cherry bon-bon and sweet black plum coat the palate in a delightful cascade of tastes. Due to its style, this port-style wine is immediately pleasurable, but those familiar with past bottlings know that a few years of cellaring will provide for an even more sumptuous libation. Enjoy!!
