The 2009 Cuvee de Trois has a beautiful color, beautiful aromas, and beautiful flavors. Medium ruby in color. Aromas of perfectly ripe red fruit, particularly red raspberries and cherries. In the mouth these aromas are echoed in the flavors along with a bit of wood spice. Lush without being slutty, nice tannins without being harsh, perfect acidity without being tart.
"This is a preview of Swan's vineyard-designated '09s yet to come, and it sure is exciting. It's a beautiful, sensual wine, rich in acidity and delicious in raspberries and cherries. Near perfect for drinking now."
"Bright red. Fresh red fruits and flowers on the nose and in the mouth, with suave star anise and cola nuances adding complexity. Juicy, penetrating raspberry and cherry flavors provide very good palate coverage and become spicier with air. Shows impressive clarity on the finish, leaving floral pastille and candied red fruit qualities behind. This wine is drinking very well right now. "
