The 2006 vintage of Plexus is an intricately structured blend comprised
of rich and vibrant fruit from Barossa Valley's old, low yielding vines.
A true refection of Barossa's soil and climate, Plexus expresses a supple
and silky mouth feel and a spicy, ripe red fruit finish. Intense and
elegant, Plexus demonstrates an impressive concentration and structure

"The 2006 Plexus is composed of 52% Shiraz, 30% Grenache, and 18% Mourvedre. Purple-colored, it offers up an exotic concoction of underbrush, violets, leather, black cherry, and blueberry pie. On the palate, this sexy effort is opulent, succulent, incipiently complex, and altogether hedonistic. It should perform well for a decade. In the scheme of things, it is also a terrific value. John Duval was the principal winemaker at Penfolds Grange from 1986 to 2002."
Nice full deep cherry nose. Nice tast thogugh a bit too much like tart cherries
I love Australian red wines, but this one was disappointing. It tasted better two days after opening than it did upon opening. I think it may need a few more years before it is drinkable.
This is a great wine. I will order more. I can see why RP rated it a 95
