The 2011 Joel Gott 815 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of cherry, blackberry, cinnamon spice, and vanilla toast. On the front of the palate the wine has silky yet robust tannins, ending with a soft finish and lingering minerality.
Big & Bold
I've had the 2011 several times now and its a great wine given the price.
Light & Crisp
A new favorite! Nice fruitiness, crisp, good every day wine. Very affordable as well. I'd definitely recommend this wine.
Big & Bold
It is only 2013 and this wine is only 2 years old and it is one of the best of young wines. I've just ordered as many as I could find and will put them up for about 7 years with the rest of my backlog and am sure it will be even better then. But it is really great enough to drink today.
Smooth & Supple
The 2011 Joel Gott 815 Cab definitely needs more time to evolve before enjoying. Had this June 2013 and it is very one dimensional, and resembles a young zinfandel. Too soft and flat. Hopefully it just needs time to mature versus not being a good vintage entirely... Only time will tell! The 2010 vintage, however, is terrific.
