Alcohol By Volume: 14.5%

Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Beautifully bright and transparent carmine red color. Fresh, floral aromas reminiscent of wild berries and Montsant garrigue (Thyme and other mountain herbs). On the palate the wine is refreshing and savory with great purity and length.

Critical Acclaim

"Vivid ruby-red. High-pitched aromas of raspberry, cherry and fresh rose, along with a sexy note of Asian spices; smells a lot like a New World pinot noir. Bright and juicy, with pliant red berry flavors and a late kick of white pepper. Offers very attractive fruity character and shows no rough edges on the long, focused finish. "

Bigger taste than I expected. Bright wood on the start that dampens into the finish and lingers alongside subdued berry notes. Hint of chocolate and maybe just a little flint. Drinks bigger than I was expecting for a Grenache.
