"…Dreams…" from Chardonnay grapes. It has a sparkling straw-yellow color. To the nose it offers charm and complexity, with aromas of rare elegance and refinement. Exotic hints of ripened fruit, melted butter, vanilla and pastry prevail. In the mouth it keeps all the promises made to the nose, follows through on them, and embellishes them with gentle flavors and aromatic nuances that are fresh and persistent.
"Baked pear, with hints of lemon grass and fennel leaf. Full and fruity, with lots of fruit and a delicious finish. Turns to lightly toasted oak and cream. So subtle and balanced. Chardonnay. Drink now.
"The 2009 Were Dreams (Chardonnay) impresses for its balance, especially the integration of fruit and oak, something that has rarely been the case here in the past. Layers of ripe, tropical fruit are nicely suppored by the oak. The round, creamy finish is quite inviting. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017. "

"Deep yellow-gold. Enticing aromas of ripe pear, banana, pineapple and vanilla. Then smooth, suave and dense, with very judiciously used oak to round out and support the banana cream pie and pineapple flavors. Finishes long and creamy, with very good balance. One of Italy's few truly successful oaked chardonnays, this is yet another very good vintage of Were Dreams . . from Jermann."
