Winemaker's Notes:

The aromas of apricot, peaches and tropical fruit are highlighted with hints of licorice and baked apple. This full wine has a crisp acid backbone and light minerality that is reflective of its Arroyo Seco appellation. A soft, creamy mouthfeel with nice flavors of cantaloupe, Mandarin orange and vanilla creates a delightful harmony of flavors.
My Notes:

About Jekel Vineyards:

Founded in 1972 by Bill Jekel, one of the first growers to see Monterey's potential for wine excellence, Jekel Vineyards released its first vintage (a Johannesburg Riesling) in 1978 and continues to be recognized as a pioneer in Monterey winemaking.

Bill's tireless passion for winemaking and all things Monterey led to Monterey's designation as a American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 1984, literally putting Monterey on the winemaking map.

Today, Jekel is known for crafting exquisitely distinctive varietals from Riesling and Chardonnay to Cabernet and Pinot Noir.
