Winemaker's Notes

Production Area: Very steep slopes of the northern Rhône Valley. The soil primarily composed of granite and limestone. Grape Varieties: 100% Syrah from 60 year-old vines Vinification: Grapes are picked manually. The bunches are de-stemmed and lightly crushed before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged for 9 months, 25% in one- or two- year-old oak barrels before bottling.

Description: Bouquet - Typical aromas of violets, spices and liquorice. Taste - Appealing flavors of small ripe berry fruits (raspberries, blackberries and blueberries) and notes of liquorice and spices dominate on the finish. Serving Suggestions: Great with tuna, lamb, or chicken with herbs and spices.
