Description: Bouquet - Powerful, rich and complex: Aromas of black fruits, hints of chocolate and liquorice. Taste: Harmonious and elegant, "La Louvée" exhibits an outstanding concentration and a long and lingering finish. Enjoyable in youth, it has the potential to mature and evolve for another two decades or more. Serving Suggestions: A Cornas which pairs perfectly with beef, game, truffles and mushrooms.
"The 2000 Cornas La Louvee boasts an inky black/purple color as well as an opulent personality displaying flamboyant notes of black fruits, melted licorice, asphalt, and minerals. There is some spicy new oak, but the wine's low acid, sweet, tannic personality makes for a sumptuous glass of Cornas that is destined to be drunk young. Nevertheless, it has the concentration and overall balance to age well for 12-15 years. La Louvee comes from 70-year old vines, and is aged in 100% new oak, as opposed to Les Ruchets' 70% new oak. This is Cornas at its most intense and concentrated, with a nod to the modern technique of barrique aging."-The Wine Advocate

After earning degrees in pharmacy and...Read More About Jean-Luc Colombo

Cornas is typically best when aged for up to 10 years, although pioneer winemakers, like Jean-Luc Columbo...Read More About Cornas
