Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec.
This supple, complex Cabernet is overflowing with ripe currant, blackberry, chocolate and warm vanilla notes in the nose. On the palate, the wine lingers with a long, supple finish.
"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon contains some Champoux Vineyard fruit. It sports a nose of pain grille, mineral, a hint of balsamic, black currant, and blackberry. Structured, balanced, and lengthy, it will benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring and offer prime drinking from 2013 to 2027.
The Wine Advocate
"Bright ruby-red. Expressive aromas of cassis, licorice and flowers. Lush, pliant and sweet, but with juicy acidity giving lift to the mid-palate. Offers classic dry, dark fruit cabernet flavors and finishes firm and fresh. Champoux vineyard is the most important source for this wine, which also includes bits of cabernet franc, merlot and malbec."

So rather than tell you who we are, we invite you to try our wines or visit us at our new Woodinville winery and let us earn your trust. If Januik becomes your go-to wine, we’ve done our job.
