Winemaker's Notes

A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec.

This supple, complex Cabernet is overflowing with ripe currant, blackberry, chocolate and warm vanilla notes in the nose. On the palate, the wine lingers with a long, supple finish.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley is a blend of fruit from Champoux, Klipsun, and Ciel du Cheval vineyards. Dark ruby-colored, it sports an enticing nose of spice box, cassis, black currant, incense, and tobacco. Elegant on the palate, it has a smooth texture, excellent depth, and enough ripe tannin to blossom for several more years. Drink it from 2013 to 2023"
90 Points

"Very ripe aromas of currant and spicy oak. Supple, broad and classically dry, with pliant dark berry flavors complemented by sexy oak and framed by a firm edge of acidity. This outperformer includes a good percentage of fruit from Klipsun, Ciel du Cheval and Champoux vineyards."

Family-owned. Artisan winemaking. Acclaimed Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. You’ve heard dozens of wineries make these claims, and while these statements are certainly true of Januik wines, they seem a little cliché too.

So rather than tell you who we are, we invite you to try our wines or visit us at our new Woodinville winery and let us earn your trust. If Januik becomes your go-to wine, we’ve done our job.

Perhaps that title is due to its ability to grow worldwide in a number of climates, or to the fact that it produces wine with such character yet such diversity. Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
