Winemaker's Notes

Blend: 94% Chardonnay, 6% French Colombard

The 2005 Ironstone Vineyards Chardonnay has wonderful aromas of citrus and fresh cut green apples. Its crisp, mineral style is delightfully refreshing with flavors of pineapple, peaches and mountain-ripe apples. The finish is crisp and clean, and balanced nicely by mild acidity.

The Chardonnay grape is extremely versatile and pairs well with many types of cuisine. It's a favorite for chicken dishes in light cream sauces as well as seafood alfredo. It pairs nicely with sautéed pork tenderloin covered with a fruit salsa.
