Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

By nose peach, raspberry and hazelnut. In the mouth stone fruit, pink grapefruitlime; crisp yet gentle on the mouth.

The vibrant, rich qualities make our Wedding Cuvée the perfect partner to a range of dishes. Pair with a salad of frisée, a poached farm egg and thick cut bacon, a charcuterie and cheese platter featuring salumi and a triple crème, young goat and fresh ricotta cheese, or a spaghetti carbonara for something decadent.

Critical Acclaim

"Fresh and festive, this bubbly is built for a party, offering floral raspberry and spicy vanilla aromas and layered strawberry, lemon and hazelnut flavors that finish on a bright, crisp note. Drink now through 2014. "

Balanced flavor, small but generous bubbles, nice straw color. One of the best sparklers anywhere and maybe the best of the CA champagne method wines. Pricey but worth it. Also very hard to find in stores.

Learn About Sonoma County

Twice as large as Napa in size, Sonoma County only makes about a half the amount of wine as her northeasterly neighbor. But Sonoma, with her size, is able to vouch for more diversity within her borders, including sub-AVAs that are climatically varied. The atmosphere of Sonoma is decidedly laid back and down home country style. But in wines, they are keeping up with the...

Learn About Vintage

Vintage Champagne and Sparkling Wines Vintage Champagne is made in particularly good years with optimum weather and the best grape selection. Some houses, like Dom Perignon, only make vintage Champagne, so they do not produce a wine every year and have no non-vintage bottlings. What makes vintage Champagne better? Well, status for one - many vintage Champagnes are...
