Color: Bright garnet, ruby core
Aroma: Blackberry, blueberry, black tea, earth, dried mushroom and sandalwood
Flavor: Tangy sour cherry, baked blueberries, fresh blackberries, savory roasted meat,
sage and black tea. Nice tannins, to match the pretty fruit and high acid. Should age
very well. Long tasty finish.
Bought a few and just had last night. Had not heard of them but will buy more if it goes on sale again.
Having been spoiled by Oregon pinots, I am usually quite skeptical of those from south of the border, but this one was a very nice effort. Light, yet substantive, with hints of leather and earth, but with a lighter side that just says "Good morning! Time to enjoy another beautiful day!"
For a pinot noir from the Russian River Valley - it was very disappointing. I will not buy this again.
No bouquet; little fruit forward
