Il Marroneto

Il Marroneto remains the smallest producer of Brunello di Montalcino. When production began in 1980, only 2,000 bottles were produced. Today that number has more than doubled. What this boutique winery lacks in quantity, however, they more than make up for in quality. Housed in a 13th century tower, this winery stands guard over Montalcino. The vineyards circumvent the medieval tower at 1,500 feet above sea level. This is where the wonderful, intensely rich and thick-skinned fruit of is produced for the wines of Il Marroneto.
