Deep ruby red in color, the nose exhibits notable intensity of ripe fruit and spice. On the palate, it is complex, structured, with marvellous texture. A long, pure, concentrated, mellow finish that speaks of well balanced èlevage.
"The 2004 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Ursonia is deeply impressive. Black fruit, smoke, tar and licorice come to life in this vivid, powerful Montepulciano. All of the elements build towards the massive, textured finish. Ideally the Ursonia needs another year or two in bottle, but it is already pretty impressive that the estate can afford to wait this long before releasing their top wine. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024.
Il Feuduccio is one of those properties one never hears much about, yet the wines rarely fail to impress.
