Winemaker's Notes

Our 2000 Chenin Blanc continues in the same style as past vintages of this perennial Husch favorite. Harvested in the cool, early morning and immediately crushed, pressed and racked to stainless steel tanks, the juice was fermented slowly at cool temperatures (48 degrees F) and immediately bottled to accentuate the fresh fruit character of the Chenin Blanc grape.

Aromas of pear, honeysuckle, banana, and pineapple entice you to take the first sip. A perfect balance of sweetness and acidity heightens your taste buds with flavors of honey, peach, melons, and tropical fruits. Each mouth-watering sip invites another.

Replace a sparkling wine and serve it as an aperitif or with dessert. This is the ideal wine for a picnic, but it is also excellent with lunch or a light dinner. Serve with fresh oysters, crab, or chicken salad.
