Winemaker's Notes

Hugel's "Jubilee" are sourced exclusively from family owned Grand Cru vineyards in the top terroirs in Alsace. Great classic Gewurztraminer which will gain in complexity and spiciness for 8 years or more. Its suave and long complex aftertaste will make it the ideal partner to strong cheeses and spicy dishes.

Critical Acclaim

"Finely balanced, with a streak of minerality underscoring well-meshed flavors of white peach, lemon curd and candle wax. Juicy throughout and silky in texture, this elegant version features a zesty edge to the lasting finish. Drink now through 2023."
91 Points

"Blood orange, pink grapefruit, caraway, musky animal scents, and a variety-typical hint of litchi all inform the nose of Hugel’s 2008 Gewurztraminer Jubilee, then remerge on a palate both creamy and silken and yet also possessed of a vivacity and primary juiciness one seldom encounters in its genre. Peppery, saline, and zesty notes – along with a continuation of caraway – make for a finish of tactile intensity. This should prove fascinating at table for at least the next dozen years"
