Winemaker's Notes:
Our Reserve wines are sourced from the best vineyard lots for aging in our
finest oak barrels. Our 2010 vintage is classic Washington Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine opens with the scent of crushed fresh blackberries, dark cherries, oak spice, and cassis, with nuances of sandalwood and cedar. On the palate are intensely rich, mouthwatering flavors of black cherry, cassis, and cocoa. Serve with herb-rubbed roast pork loin or grilled New York strip steak.
The grapes were harvested during the day to build heat from the sun for warm,
effective macerations. After primary fermentation, the wine was racked to French
and American oak barrels for aging. All the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel. After 18 to 22 months of aging, the wine was bottled in October 2012.
