Winemaker's Notes

Deep ruby red with purple hues. Powerful dark berry fruits, mocha, cedar, dark chocolate and plums.

Rich and ripe, with sweet blackberries combined with chocolate and licorice. Powerful fruit is balanced neatly with natural acidity to provide an element of restraint and elegance to the finish. Thinking man's Barossa Valley shiraz.

Critical Acclaim

"Deep ruby-red. Dark berries and cherry-vanilla on the nose, with subtle smoke and licorice notes adding complexity. Fleshy and gently sweet, with deep blackberry and cassis flavors, soft tannins and good back-end lift. The finish repeats the dark berry note and lingers with lively, spicy persistence. Drinking very well right now. "
