Winemaker's Notes

Blend: 40% Shiraz, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Franc grown in the Barossa.

Deep crimson in colour. Spicy sweet aromas of plums, anise, blueberries and cassis with hints of smoky tar, vanilla, cedar and minty nuances. The palate is sweet and ripe with lush blackberry fruits, complex with excellent depth and concentration, velvety fine-grained tannins and excellent length. Drink now through 2011. Enjoy with Penang curry with grilled beef.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2004 Keyneton Estate “Euphonium” Shiraz is purple-colored with fragrant aromas of toast, black cherry, scorched earth, pencil lead, and blueberry. Tightly knit but well balanced, it will need 5-7 years in the cellar to unwind and reveal its full potential. At that point, my score will look conservative. "

There are a multitude of grape varieties throughout the world, however, in a Darwinian sense, survival of the fittest only brings us wines made from grapes that can adapt to changing climates and winemaking techniques. Notable Facts Our other red wines primarily consists of...
