Henry Estate Estate Pinot Noir 1996

Following the selection of barrels from within the different fermentation ""lots"" for the Barrel Select and Winemakers Reserve blends, the remainder of the lots are blended together. This blend, representing the average quality for body, structure and flavor from any particular vintage, comprises the Estate Bottled designation. Having less body than either a Barrel Select or Winemakers Reserve, the Estate Bottled will mature quicker and drink sooner, but still has potential to develop in the bottle for several years. The 1996 Estate Bottled Pinot Noir has a spicy aroma of black pepper and dill. Fruit and spice in the mouth lead into a moderately long finish that is open and smooth. It matches well with beef, lamb, tomato sauces, pasta, salmon, swordfish and wild game.
