An incredibly dark, deep purple in the glass distinguishes the 1999 vintage from previous wines. A broadening of the blend to include significant amounts of Cabernet Franc and Syrah adds both aromatic complexity, and a smoother mouthfeel, culminating in obvious but refined tannins. Raspberry, chocolate and vibrant cranberry aromas with seamless oak integration highlight this superb effort.
