Winemaker's Notes:

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a vibrant ruby in color. Wonderfully fragrant, with a lifted nose of black cherries, mulberries and plums, complemented by spicy oak characters of tobacco and vanilla. The palate displays plummy, blackcurrant jam notes with a hint of mocha. A rich, textural wine, with savory, fine-grain tannins and fresh acidity. Medium bodied, the 2009 release will age gracefully for up to 5 years.

Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

About Heartland:

Heartland Wines was created by a small group of leading South Australian wine professionals, including Ben Glaetzer & Vicki Arnold from Glaetzer. All are all good friends and share a passion for making great wine. Heartland wines are made with fruit from mature vineyards in the Limestone Coast and Langhorne Creek in South Australia.
