Harry & David and Wine.com Uncork Wine Offerings

Harry & David, the nation’s leading retailer for premium food gifts, today announced a partnership with Wine.com to offer exclusive food and wine gifts.

Premium food and wine gifts are available now, in time for the holidays, at harryanddavid.com and also in catalogs that are arriving in homes nationally.

Harry & David is the marketing agent for food and wine gift baskets that provide exclusive premium food gifts, including Moose Munch® confection, award winning chocolates and other treats in gift baskets that will range in price from $49.95 to $299.95. Wine.com will provide premium and ultra-premium wines and its network of licensed retail wine warehouses will distribute the gifts.

“Like Harry & David, Wine.com is known for its excellent products and service. We are pleased to present to our customers these premium wines along with our Harry & David’s holiday favorite fine food gifts,” said Bill Williams, President and CEO of Harry & David.

Harry & David and Wine.com will have drawn upon a worldwide network of suppliers to hand pick wines which compliment Harry & David’s fine foods. Wine.com will use eight fulfillment centers across the U.S. to ship wine gift baskets, containing Harry & David fine foods, directly to customers. Arriving with each gift will be uniquely crafted tasting notes, describing the wine and why it’s an excellent pairing with the food.

“We are pleased to be selected to partner with Harry & David, a company with exacting standards, a rich 74 year old history and an extraordinarily loyal customer base,” said Rich Bergsund, CEO of Wine.com.

Local and state laws currently allow wine gifts to be shipped to 26 states, where a majority of Harry & David customers live. The Harry & David website and telephone operators will have details on which states will allow wine shipments.

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
Green wine
Green Wines
Wines that use sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and/or winemaking process. We rely on a number of U.S. and International certifications to qualify wines "green."
Collectible wine
Collectible
These wines will improve from additional bottle age, when properly stored, and may show the greatest potential to increase in value.
Great Wine Gifts
Great Wine Gifts
These selected wines make impressionable gifts for wine enthusiasts and oenophiles alike.
Boutique Wines
Boutique Wines
These wines are made in limited quantities and are typically produced from single vineyard sources or made by small, artisanal wineries. While the winery may produce larger quantities, we limit wines with this designation to a 1,000 case production.
