Harrison Reserve Chardonnay 1999

The 1998 Reserve Chardonnay is produced from our 28-year-old hillside vineyard on Pritchard Hill. Fermented with indigenous yeast, 100% malolactic, aged on the lees and stirred weekly; racked after 9 months and replaced in original barrels. Due to our increasingly small harvests from our aging vines and the depth of the fruit being produced, we have changed our winemaking to include additional aging on the oak and have designated our entire Chardonnay harvest "Reserve." The additional barrel aging fills out the wine mid-palate, adding richness and finesse. Unfined and unfiltered. An ultra-rich style with aromas of exotic pear, fig and apricot with creamy. Buttery flan are the backbone of this powerful Chardonnay. Honeycomb and smoky oak underscore bright citrus and butterscotch flavors that keep the flavors in balance with seductive aromas. This huge, lush wine is not the least bit bashful, but retains its grace and elegance long after you have finished the glass. Aged for two years. 250 cases produced.
