The cool growing season produced crisp, yet rich, flavors of lychee, jalapeño and white pepper that are perfect with a wide range of food, including green salad topped by Chèvre cheese, grilled seafood, and spicy Mexican or Asian cuisine.
A very pleasant bouquet and nice balance. Nice hints of grapefruit on the tongue but without the strong citrus acidity. We enjoyed it without food at a nice cold temperature.
Fruity & Smooth
Seafood, Scallops > Lemon/Citrus, Cheese > Semi-Firm
The 2010 Grgich Hills Fume Blanc shows beautifully right now and should hold up very well for a few more years to come. The nose offers ripe peach and melon aromas and the mouthfeel is soft and slightly citrusy. The long finish is somewhat "chard like" in body and finesse.
Light & Crisp
A great bargain. Complex with layers of flavor and aromas: jalepeno pepper, citrus, straw, bright and crisp yet rich at the same time.
