Greg Norman Estates Limestone Coast Shiraz 2007
Syrah/Shiraz from Australia
The 2007 Greg Norman Estates Limestone Coast Shiraz is a bright crimson color with plum red hues. The delicate but distinctive nose opens up in the glass revealing lifted aromas of cinnamon spice, light cherry wood and cedar oak characters. A dditional notes of ripe cranberry, black cherry and dark plum notes on the nose lead to a medium bodied palate creating a flavor profile of rich cherry and blueberry fruit. Balanced acidity and supple tannins ensure a soft and evenly textured Shiraz.
Wine Spectator - "Bright, focused and tangy, with a nice ripe feel to the currant and blueberry flavors. Shaded with hints of mineral and tobacco on the refined finish. Drink now through 2015"

The state of South Australia, which produces about 60% of the country's wine, also has the most wineries and sub-regions, including McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Coonawarra and Barossa Valley. New South Wales is home to the Hunter Valley, while the smaller, southern state of Victoria is best known for theYarra Valley. Head way west to the very large state of Western Australia and you'll find the tiny region of Margaret River at the southern tip.

Much smoother than I expected. Not as peppery as I expect from a Shiraz. But was enjoyable.Boomer. - Florence, SC59/10/2011
