The 2010 Lagniappe combines Red Willow, Olsen and Les Collines Vineyards. It is a wine that will require time, more so than any Lagniappe in the past. However, we feel it is our best to date.

"Bright dark red. Darker but less expressive on the nose than the basic 2010 syrah bottling, offering reticent scents of black cherry, licorice, black olive and black pepper. Then denser, sweeter and deeper in the mouth, showing a rounder, more layered texture without any heaviness. This wine will rely as much on its acidity as on its fine-grained tannins to carry its fruit and provide lift. Finishes pungent but not as peppery as the basic syrah, with a whiplash of flavor.Rating: 92(+?)"
