"10 Years" indicates and average age – this Aged Tawny Port is a blend of older wines, which offer complexity and younger wines, which bring fresh fruit flavors and vibrancy. During their long maturing period in oak casks, Aged Tawnies undergo subtle color changes: the deep red hue which characterizes Port's youth gradually gives way to a paler reddish amber color. Graham's is known for its rich, elegant house style. This 10 Year has a full, nutty bouquet, the classic Graham's richness and a soft lingering finish.
Serving and pairing suggestions
Graham's 10 Year is bottled ready to drink after an average of at least ten years of cask aging. It has a t-cap closure, which means that you don't need a corkscrew to open it and that it will stay fresh for two to four months if stored in a cool, dark place or refrigerator. Serve it in a glass with at least a six ounce capacity so that you may appreciate the wine's aromas. Graham's 10 Year is delicious when paired with milk chocolate, creme brulee or fruit tarts. In warmer months, try it chilled for a refreshing dessert in a glass.
"Powered with acidity and its firm structure, this is an intensely dry, concentrated, powerful wine. It certainly has wines in the blend that are older than 10 years, yet it is definitely a 10-Year Oldin style, as the fresh fruit to finish confirms."
"This has a zesty, sweet floral aroma, with delicate, well-spiced flavors of apple tart, flan and cocoa powder. The plush, mouthfilling finish of cream, vanilla and raspberry is fresh and balanced. Drink now."
This is a realy good port wine. A warm, rich, fruity/nutty flavor that is smooth and very enjoyable. I will be buying more of this in the future.
I love me some Graham's Port. This 10 year old Tawny has all of the great nut flavors you are looking for in an aged tawny. I can't drink the 30 year old as often as I like and this 10 year old fills the bill nicely! Enjoyed with a Montecristo Cigar and my wife!
It was awesome. I'm a wine newby - so I don't have all the fancy words. I'll give you my top of mind. Loved it. Hint of raisin finish. The tastes were rich and deep. Like silk met fruit met chocolate met raisin. Now it sounds horrible doesn't it. Well, its my lack of ability to describe. Let me put it to you this way - I have no regrets about buying it and will be purchasing more soon. I especially enjoyed some after chocolates with good friends. And isn't that and important part of life?
