"The Pelissa family named this brand after the property they purchased in 1938, part of George Yount's original land grant. This wine includes fruit from that Yountville vineyard as well as the family's Rock Cairn Vineyard in Oakville. It's a lean and sophisticated cabernet with dark plum flavors and sweet scents of cedar. The tannins are as black as coal, needing age to meld into the vine."

Nestled on a gently sloping knoll on the north edge of Yountville, Ghost Block vineyard is named in honor of the historic Pioneer Cemetery for which it borders. According to local lore George C. Yount; who was the first person to plant a grapevine in the Valley, wanders the hillside overseeing the vast spectrum of an industry he himself founded on this very land.
