Crisp minty essences emerge first, followed by a spicy mélange of clove, cinnamon, and vanilla, which concludes with a prominent vein of slaty mineral. Solid structure shows through in the mouth, with juicy tannins and a judicious acidity developing through the palate; it tapers off nicely in a perfect balance of elements.
Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese,
Merlot and Petit Verdot
Medium bodied and smooth as silk with a gentle, lingering finish, this Toscana with a cranberry and raspberry flavor is easy to drink by itself or with light cheeses, summer salads, and grilled chicken or fish. Right now, too savory dishes may overwhelm it.
if there's any of this left, buy it. let it air. it's awesome.
I found this young Tuscan wine to be very drinkable beyond its years. A tribute to it's balance, this is a great buy for those of us that love Brunello's and would love them even more if they were $20.
