The Diamond Zinfandel's charm is its spicy ripe flavors and aromas of red berries and jammy black fruits. The palate is full with sweet fruit flavors and exotic spices. The Zinfandel is aged in American oak barrels for eight months, integrating a creamy richness of brown sugar and maple syrup. We have blended Petite Sirah for a deep, intense color and mid-palate structure, while the addition of a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon gives structure, tannins, and a lengthy finish. The 1999 Francis Coppola Diamond Series Red Label Zinfandel is enjoyable now or can be cellared for two to five years.
