Winemaker's Notes:

"One of Forman's finest efforts to date, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon is a seamless classic boasting a dense purple color as well as a big, sweet, fragrant, almost floral nose (there must be a good bit of Cabernet Franc in the blend), medium to full body, and abundant quantities of black currants, licorice, tobacco leaf, and earth. The wood is well-concealed in this layered, multi-dimensional, surprisingly ripe, forward Cabernet. It should drink well for 15-20 years."

About Forman:

Founded in 1983 and located at the base of Howell Mountain, overlooking the town of St. Helena, Forman Vineyard produces 2000 cases each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. All grapes are grown on the three estate vineyards, two on the mountain above and one on the valley floor in the Rutherford Bench appellation.
